Patchy rain to continue in Delhi-NCR for next few days..

The rainfall distribution in Delhi has been patchy for the last two days. On Wednesday,
the Safdarjung observatory recorded 15 mm of rainfall, while Palam received 10.7 mm.
Ayanagar in a span of 24 hours, from 8:30 am on Wednesday recorded heavy rain of 70 mm. Hindon and Pitampura observed 52 mm and 30 mm of rain, respectively. The Delhi University area and Ridge also witnessed 27 and 28.6 mm of rain, respectively during the same period. Ghaziabad received 35 mm of rainfall, Najafgarh 15 mm, Pusa 6 mm and Noida 7 mm of rain.
Thus, we can say that rainfall was fairly widespread with good showers in few parts.
At present, the maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR is around 35°C. In view of such patchy nature of Monsoon rains in Delhi, humidity in the air has been quite high. This sultry weather has been holding onto the temperatures and not letting them fall.
The average day temperature in Delhi during the month of August is 33.6°C, while the minimum settles close to 26.4°C. However, day temperatures will remain few notches higher for next few days.
